Hello my name is Reshonda, I like to cook especially on holidays when you can cook all kinds of goodies. I will share a few of them with you. These are a few of my favorite recipes that
I use during the holidays. You can try them if you would like, I will be sharing them with you.
This recipe is great for gifts at Christmas, put in a jar and the top of the jar decorate it with some sort of design.
Hard Candy
Ingredients:
2/3 cup corn syrup
2 cups sugar
1 Cup water
Stir mixture thoroughly
Boil to 290 degrees without stirring.
Remove from heat and add flavoring of choice.
Pour into lightly buttered pan. As mixture begins to cool,
cut out into squares and place pieces into bowl of powered sugar.
Use Popsicle sticks and place into candy prior to hardening for suckers.
Place into powered sugar.
NOTE: I always use the non-stick aluminum foil instead of the butter it works
just as well. I don't cut mine into squares I let it get a little hard and use
a butter knife and hit it with the end of it and it just breaks into a lot of pieces
then I just dump it into the powered sugar.

Reshonda: This sounds like something I would like to try to make with my grandson, Neil, during this holiday season. I think it sounds yummy and he loves suckers! What child doesn't like suckers, right? LOL Thank you for sharing and please keep them coming. I love to cook and try out new things.
